Oldershaw Beers Newton’s Drop (4.1%)

Newton's DropNewton’s Drop is a Best Bitter that pours a nice copper and smells of apples, red fruit and nuts.
The nuts continue in the malting, all woody and dry with hazelnuts and walnuts coated in toffee and swimming in pear juice.
The hops are sharp spiky nettles and brambles, some green herbal leaves and a little lemon juice that adds a fresh bitter dryness to the long honeyed finish.
Not overly exciting but very easy drinking.
