Rocky Head Brewery Imitera IPA (7.2%)

Imitera IPAImitera is Rocky Head’s flagship IPA and it’s enormous.
Pouring a deep amber, the smell is giant sized toffee coated fruit jelly sweets.
The malts are fat, round and gloopy, all chewy toffee and honey coated bran flakes.
There’s a not unpleasant background hum of farmyard straw, and then hard muscly hops that are loud and boisterous and full of fun jump up.
Massive hit of grapefruit and tobacco, lots of jelly sweets and sherbet covered lime leaves that lead to a finish that’s bitter, dry, sticky and BIG.
Top stuff from Rocky Head.
