Yeovil Ales Summerset (4.1%)

SummersetNot overly exciting, Summerset is easy drinking and in a word, decent.
Pouring a light orange with a good foamy head, the aroma is straw and lemon curd.
The malting is a round soft caramel and wafer with a little burned sugar at its edges, and comes with a spoonful of honey, and the hops are sharp lemon and satsuma skins, pithy and zesty and making for a lightly bitter dry finish tinged with tobacco and tamarind.
As I said, decent.

  1. Pretty much on the nail, Summerset is our entry level pale beer, designed as you say to be easy drinking. We are working on improving the quality and flavour of our bottled ales.
