Brew By Numbers 08|01 Stout Export Strength (6.1)

0801 Stout08|01 is my first experience of Brew By Numbers’ Stout and I like it a lot.
With its smell that’s all chocolate coated plums in a leather satchel, and its malts that are equally packed with bitter chocolate, prunes, rum and strong black coffee, this is a Stout to shout about.
There’s a crunchy red leaf hopping, autumnal, crisp, dry and brittle, it crackles as you drink, zingy with lemon and lime zest, grapefruit and apple cores.
The finish is superbly bitter and lip puckering, dry, rich and extremely long.
Super.
