I wasn’t intending to drink this yet, but I was carrying it into the house and dropped it.
It didn’t break, but the seal went on the cap.
That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it.
It’s also why the beer looks a bit muddy in the photograph.
Acme California Pale Ale is a well made and very drinkable beer with a pine resin, peanut butter and toffee aroma.
The malting is rich with caramel and brown bread, big and chewy and satisfying, and the hops are red and autumnal crunchy leaves, resinous red wood bark and grapefruit pith sharpness.
The finish is honey tinged and sticky.
All in all rather good.
