Scrimshaw is a “Pilsner style beer” and it’s rather good to drink.
The aroma is honey and daisies and straw, and the beer shies a bright gold with a good foaming head in my glass.
There are a lot of interesting things going on in here and as you drink you find plenty of honey, flaky pastry, wood resin, crushed peppercorns, brittle leaf litter, lemon pips, chamomile tea, a hint of orange peel and a splash of apple juice.
The finish is long and crisp and dry.
As I said, rather good to drink.
