Wiper & True Pale Ale Simcoe (5%)

Pale Ale SimcoeI’ve heard so much about Wiper & True and have wanted to try their beer for a very long time.
It’s been worth the wait as this beer is superb.
A bright golden beer with a light cloud for a head, the smell is pine resin, wood chip and peaches, and I love how the malts are full and round and chewy with honeycomb and bran flakes, sweet and sticky but in no way cloying.
The Simcoe – a hop I’m not generally a fan of – does all the right things here, slappin gyou acrosss the face with thorny hedgerow dripping with pine sap, blackberry leaf tea, mango and a twist of orange.
The finish is spicy, bitter, dry and lovely.
I look forward to trying some more.
