Half Moon Bay Beer Co. Pit Stop (3.75%)

Pit StopGiven its pretty low ABV, this is not a bad little beer.
The aroma isn’t much to get excited about, giving you only a light toasted maltiness, but there’s plenty of rich dark chocolate, wholemeal bread and sweet vanilla once you take a sip.
The body is decent too, hanging around on your tongue with a burned toast and walnut earthiness, a little molasses and some decent resinous leafy hops.
Pit Stop’s finish is sticky bitter dark chocolate and woodland undergrowth.
This is part of Half Moon Bay’s Maverick series of Session Beers, hence the low alcohol content, and it works very well indeed.
