Crate’s Best Bitter is everything you could want from this style of beer.
It’s a rich and satisfying biscuit and treacle, Horlicks and hazelnut malty beauty.
It pours a lovely chestnut red and smells of nutty autumn woodland walks.
The hops are gently bitter, prickling away softly at your tongue and leaving a green and herbal bracken and elderflower pithiness.
A short and to the point review this may be, but sometimes that’s all I can manage as all I really want to do is put the pen down and enjoy drinking.
