I was really excited about this beer.
After all, I have loved everything else that I’ve had from By The Horns and this is part of their special Deadly Sins range.
Envy is a Stout aged in Scotch Whisky barrels and presented in a lovely plump 750ml bottle.
Unfortunately it’s as flat as a flat thing having a very flat hair day in flat land.
There’s an unpleasant sourness around the edges which adds an essence of sweaty lederhosen to the watery thinness of this particular bottle.
I hate to say it, but it’s all (minus a couple of swigs) going down the sink.
