With a maple syrup and rosewood aroma, this glassful of ruby red beer may smell more Canadian than Mexican (and I believe this brewery is owned by Coors), but it’s a decent little drink nonetheless.
This is malt heavy with toffee, praline, nutty goodness, thick honey, biscuits and toasty crusts.
There are hops too, all crunchy red autumnal leaf litter and pine resin stickiness.
Round and red and fruity at the edges, the finish is plum flesh and leaf mulch bitter sweetness.
Rather nice.
