Einstök Ölgerð Icelandic White Ale (5.2%)

Icelandic White AleBrewed just south of the Arctic Circle, Einstök’s White Ale is a clear pale gold colour and smells of mandarins and honey and spices.
The malts are all caramel shortcake, heather honey and if you remember your secondary school woodwork classes, balsa shavings.
The hops are sharp and fresh with lemon juice, hazel leaves and a lightly metallic basil tang.
But ti’s the addition of range peel and coriander that makes this beer, adding a lovely round zesty fruitiness with a good herbal snap, leaving a finish that is crisp and refreshing.
Very good indeed.
