Hillside Brewery Legend Of Hillside (4.7%)

Legend Of HillsideLegend Of Hillside is an “English IPA” that tastes very good indeed, though being pedantic I’d argue that this is a Pale Ale rather than an India Pale Ale.
Pouring a sunny amber, the aroma is gently floral and soft with peaches.
There’s a very light caramel malt, it’s all puff pastry, runny honey and a little sugar candy.
The hops are sharp and brittle, Goldings, Northdown and Challenger combining to give you a fresh green nettle tea, bramble jelly, hedgerow pithiness and some herbal leaves.
A very refreshing beer, Legend Of Hillside has a crisp bitter finish.
So, an IPA or a Pale Ale?
With a beer so enjoyable to drink I don’t really care what it’s called.
