If I needed to find something a bit special to celebrate the end of a great weekend, then this is it.
It’s amazing just how deep the flavours are given the reasonably low ABV.
The aroma is chocolate bars and raisins, and the colour is a dark and inviting purple brown.
The malting is heavy with chocolate and coffee, while vanilla adds a lovely richness to the body and the hops pinch you with autumnal red leafy bark and bonfire-ready wood.
This is a velvety soft beer, though beautifully rich and thick too, and it leaves you with a warm creamy and very satisfying finish.
