55|01 is a Saison brewed with Jensen’s Bermondsey Dry Gin.
It’s a very nice little bottle of beer though I’m not over confident that I can taste the gin in it, save for the merest hint in the background and a certain clean sharpness that cuts across the soft caramel and French bread of the malts, the steely farmyard yeast and the tangy lemon and lime of the hops.
Perhaps there’s a quiet little boozy hit that begins to build as you work your way down the glass, but gin or no gin, this is another fine beer by Brew By Numbers.
