Listen.
A gentle wood smoke wafts over everything here, never overwhelming, just beautifully backing everything else up.
It wraps itself around the chewy malt that’s full of toffee and freshly baked brioche, praline and wafers.
It drifts over the subtle meatiness of the rye, the fudge sweetness and the subtle whisky heat.
And it hangs like a silk cloak on the shoulders of the huge bitter hops that are packed with fresh hedgerow greenery, herbs and citrus fruit zest, oranges and jelly sweets.
What a superb beer this is.
