What a brilliant Black IPA this is.
Pouring a heavy black with a big fluffy head, the smell is coffee, Weetabix and garden flowers.
There’s a lovely velvety chocolate fudge biscuit malt, big and thick, chewy and hefty, it’s almost a Stout but not quite.
And then there’s a faceful of bitter hops.
Lemon rind and grapefruit pith, passion flowers and mango juice.
Roaming around in the background is a very good brandy warmth that helps ramp up everything going on in here and adds an extra layer to the super bitter dry finish.
