Cotswold Spring Brewing Co. Dandy (5%)

DandyWell, well, well, this is rather good.
Dandy is a fruity Pale Ale that pours a lovely gold with a big frothy head.
There’s a straw and orchard fruit aroma and a round sunny malt that’s all Rich Tea biscuits, sandalwood and pear juice.
You get a big dollop of honey too, before the hops come in with their super Juicy Fruit chewing gum, sherbet, peach, lemon and lime punch.
In fact there’s so much of a lemon and lime zing that I’d have said there was juice added, but the ingredients tell me not so I’ll believe them that it’s simply malt, hops, yeast and water (though the “[…] sporting a dash of zestiness” on the label may be telling a different story).
Dandy has a round sweet finish tempered with a dry bitter bite and it’s very drinkable indeed.
