Partizan Brewing Aultmore Albatross (10%)

Aultmore AlbatrossHell’s bells this is one big beer.
A mind boggling b*stard of a Barley Wine.
For all the faults I find with Partizan, when they get things right they get them really right, and I’m not quite sure where to begin with this one other than to say, they got this one REALLY right.
Here goes.
Aultmore Albatross smells of boozy brandy sexiness and it pretty much gets you a bit drunk from your first sip.
And getting a bit drunk on this is a very good thing.
Damp oak and whisky heat, herbs and spices and mountains of bruised apples and pears and, well, lots of super beery things that have made my brains go wonky.
I think I may be broken.
But it’s a lovely way to go.
Yum.
