Apart from the occasionally wonderful IPA, Partizan currently appear to be trying too hard and getting it wrong.
This Saison is brewed with lemon, lime and black tea and it’s just about OK.
You can smell lemon and lime when you open the bottle, but taking a swig you quickly realise that this beer is a bit thin and watery.
A light caramel mixes with the tea and there’s a very gentle spicy yeast in the background.
But that’s the thing.
Everything seems to be in the background, seems to be running away from you as you drink, not wanting to be tasted.
Partizan may need to have a sit down and think about what they are really good at.
