Poppyland Brewery East Coast India Pale Ale (7%)

East Coast India Pale AleI could easily tell you all about this beer in three words.
And they are, it’s bloody great.
But that would be far to simple.
East Coast IPA smells big and resinous and fruity, full of peach and grapefruit and furniture polish.
The malts are rich and warm with well baked biscuits, brandy snaps, and just the slightest hint of cocoa powder.
And the hops are delightful.
That’s delightful if you find knife sharp bitterness and full on dry citrus assault delightful.
And I do.
Sherbet fizzy lime zest, resinous redwood, mango juice and kiwi, rolling tobacco and lemon skins, East Coast IPA gives you a proper hoppy seeing to and leaves you with a super long dry bitter finish.
