Poppyland Crab Saison (6.5%)

Crab SaisonWith an enormous billowing head, Crab Saison smells of warm straw, honey and manure.
It’s a farmy, fresh and oddly pleasant aroma.
The malting is Weetabix and toffee, black pepper and heather honey, and under it the yeast works away, adding a steely spiciness.
There’s also an earthy fungal meatiness that gives Crab Saison a big round body over which the hopping is sharp and keen.
Lots of fresh herbal leaves, hedgerow greenery and a splash of lemon juice.
A very good beer presented in a lovely cork stopped bottle.
