Weird Beard Brew Co. Sadako (9.2%)

SadakoWith its wax sealed cap you’d guess that Weird Beard might think that this is something a bit special.
You’d be right.
Brewed with ten malts, honey, molasses, oats and coffee, it’s a little bit difficult to know where to begin with this beer from the chaps whose beards are weird.
Thick and rich and mouth coatingly sticky, Sadako is stuffed to the gills with burned wholemeal toast, honey and malt loaf, and stewed to the gills with a super brandy booziness.
Autumnal red leaf litter follows, along with roast hazelnuts and a burned toffee apple sweetness, but everything comes back to Sadako’s massive boozy base.
This is a very sexy plum pudding of a beer.
