Wiper & True Amber Ale – In The Pines (4.8%)

Amber Ale - In The PinesIn the pines, In the pines
Where the sun never shines.
– The Triffids “In The Pines”

This is one hell of a resinous Amber Ale.
It’s absolutely thick with pine wood stickiness.
The Chinook hops add to this with their gluey mandarin laden redwood goodness.
The malting is shortcake and honey, and there’s a good juicy apple core fruitiness too.
But it’s the polished, beeswaxed, wood varnish finish of this beer that makes it an utter delight.
Lovely stuff.
