I love the silliness of this bottle’s label as it reminds me of old Stupids record covers (the reissues of which I had a bit of a hand in, name dropper that I am).
Executioner has a lovely peach, orange and elderflower aroma and sits in my glass a rich apricot yellow.
The malting is creamy and rich with caramel biscuits, honey and oddly, but not unpleasantly, a hint of coal tar soap.
The hops are big and fruity, round and juicy, with lots and lots of orange rind and mango, kiwi, lime zest and elderflower glued together with pine resin and rolled in fizzy sherbet.
With a finish that’s long and bitter and dry this is an IPA to lose your head over.*
*Apologies for terrible joke.
