Cistamone Brewing Co. Coulter IPA (7.2%)

Coulter IPAThis is a superb IPA.
Its big fluffy frothy head and its lively fizzing amber colour in my glass looks lovely, and its resinous pine and orange marmalade aroma is delicious.
And as you push your face through the froth to take a swig you are met by a delightfully sticky toffee wafer biscuit and wholemeal bread malt that’s rich and sweet with burned brown sugar.
Big and chewy and mouth filling, thew malt hangs around in the background as the hops kick in
And boy do they kick in.
Like a redwood resin glue they stick themselves to you and allowing no escape from the lime juice soaked peach and mango slices, satsumas and fresh green hedgerow covered in sherbet.
The finish is long and pithy, bitter and lovely.
As I said, this is a superb IPA.
