Left Hand Brewing Co. Nitro (6%)

NitroNitro calls itself America’s Stout and tells you to, “keep cold [and] pour hard,” and I have to say it’s a pretty beer to pour as you watch the thick creamy head rise to the top of this deep dark purple brown beer.
The aroma is milk chocolate bars and vanilla pods, all very round, all very rich, and all very satisfying.
And the flavour is much the same, this is a great big comfy pillow of a beer.
Lots of warm toast, chocolate, vanilla ice cream, cotton candy, malted milk biscuits and a hint of rum warmth just so that it feels at least partially grown up.
There’s a handful of juicy raisins too, along with some crunchy red leaves from the hops.
All this makes for a big creamy mouth filling finish and I like it a lot.
