Omnipollo Brygd Imperial Stout (10%)

Imperial StoutThis is one heavy glass of beer.
It’s the colour of a brown black leather saddle and has a thick frothy tobacco stain head.
The smell is chocolate, coffee and rum, and it’s big.
Very big.
The malts are hefty, mouth filling trifle biscuit base, espresso, dry chocolate powder, prunes and brandy, and the hops are bitter and crunchy leaf litter bound with redwood resin, they’re superbly bitter with just a lick of lemon rind zest at their edges.
This is almost a beer to eat with a spoon, a booze blancmange, it’s definitely a late night desert of a beer and I love it.
