Two Roads Brewing Co. Road 2 Ruin (7.6%)

Road 2 RuinWhat a fizzy little sherbet fountain booze laced beauty this is.
Road 2 Ruin is a Double IPA and it’s right up there with some of my favourites.
It pours a light straw with a frothy cloud of foam for a head and its smell is woody with resin and fuzzy with peaches.
There’s a lovely soft toffee, honey and brown bread malt presented on a work bench, and across this the hops run riot.
And there are a lot of hops.
They’re sharp as knives, bitter with lemon rind and grapefruit zest, but they’re also thick with resin, fruity with mango flesh and coated in super zingy Space Dust.
The finish is long and bitter, sticky and dry.
