Alechemy Brewing Co. 5ive Sisters Red IPA (4.3%)

5ive Sisters Red IPAMalty goodness and a sharp woodbine and lemon zest hop pretty much sums this beer up, but I feel that I ought to say more.
Pouring a deep amber, the smell of 5ive Sisters is bran flakes and toffee apples, and that’s where the flavours are too.
Lots of digestive biscuits, bran flakes, apple juice and toffee, and over it the Chinook hops give pine resin, green herbal leaves and a twist of lemon.
But it’s the malts that rule here and that’s only right as they are very satisfying, leaving you with a dry Garibaldi biscuit finish that’s gently edged with zingy lemon zest.
