Crouch Vale Essex Boys (3.8%)

Essex BoysThis is exactly the kind of Best bitter I like.
It’s not trying to do anything wacky, anything experimental or “Craft”, it’s simply a delicious, beautifully balanced pint of beer.
A red fruit and bran flake aroma gives way to a satisfying digestive biscuit, toffee and fudge malt, and the hops give you a sharp nettle, hazel and fennel hit.
Essex Boys is big and round and easy drinking, and with its crisp finish it’s the best Bitter I’ve had in a long time.
