Dancing Duck Brewery Dark Drake (4.5%)

Dark DrakeDark Drake is a “Deep Rich Oatmeal Stout” and it’s really rather good.
There’s a slightly odd chocolate in a damp cardboard box smell, but don’t let that put you off, because when you take a mouthful you find a big black coffee, prunes and chocolate body surrounded by a rather nice light smokiness.
The oatmeal gives the beer a soft creamy feeling on your tongue and there’s just enough sharp green hop to freshen everything up as you head towards the liquorish tinged cocoa powder dry finish.
I will happily drink this again.
And again.
