London Fields Brewery Grapefruit Dead (5%)

Grapefruit DeadLondon Fields’ Bootlegger Series looks lovely but sadly this bottle is entirely flat and lifeless.
It’s a beer brewed with grapefruit zest, but without any fizz, without any life, it’s rendered a damp washing liquid citrus with malts that are unpleasantly limp.
And all this means that the hops that should be zesty and tingly, are weak and watery too.
I don’t know what it is with London Fields, they’re really nice people and they’ll hate reading this review, and when they get their beer right it is absolutely brilliant, but lately I’ve had more than one bottle that’s not been anywhere near where it should be.
