Redwillow Brewery Shameless (5.9%)

ShamelessI have a funny relationship with Redwillow in that I want to like them very much, but more often than not I feel a bit let down by them.
Shameless is an IPA and it’s got a nice fruity aroma and a round and slightly sweet chewy toffee and ice cream cone malt, but the hops are a little flat and damp.
There are oranges and grapefruit, lemons and limes, but they’re all a bit washed out.
And that’s the kind of thing that often happens when I drink Redwillow – It’s just not as good as I want it to be.
