Alechemy Onyx (6.5%)

OnyxOnyx is a Black IPA and it’s pretty good.
In a nutshell, you get everything you might want from a BIPA, nothing extraordinary, nothing to make you stop in your tracks, but enough to make you wish you had another glass.
Chocolate and prunes, honey, rum and raisins from the malts, and lots of sharp zingy hops that give you lemon zest, nettle tea and a hint of aniseed.
You also get a candy cane sweetness and a treacle tart aroma.
And with its long bitter finish, Onyx is a solid Black IPA and I’d like another bottle.
