Brew By Numbers 05|08 (6.5%)

050805|08 is an India Pale Ale made with Mosaic hops.
More importantly, it is stunning.
Pouring a dull amber due to my terrible bottle skills, the aroma is sharp and fresh and packed with lime and passion flowers.
There’s a delightfully soft caramel and shortcake biscuit malt which provides a light but solid base and over this Mosaic caresses you with sharp, stinging lime zest, a hint of tarragon, gooseberries, and lots of gluey pine resin and dry wood shavings.
The finish is dry and peppery, the beer fizzing with life even as it withers your tongue with it’s bitter dryness.
Superb.
