Crate Brewery Stout (5.7%)

StoutAnother London brewery that I’ve yet to find fault with, Crate’s Stout is an impenetrable black in my glass and smells of chocolate coated prunes.
The malts are burned toast and plums, chocolate, espresso and honey, rich and round and satisfying.
You get a bunch of crunchy leaf litter, orange marmalade and black tea hops too.
And with a warm treacle tart finish, this is a lovely little bottle of beer.
