For International Stout Day I decided to open an Imperial Stout aged in Whiskey barrels.
It is AMAZING.
All the things I gushed over in my review of BORIS the Crusher are here in abundance – the boozy treacle and smashing espresso, the sticky resin and glorious chocolate – but here everything is made BIGGER and better, and MORE by the barrel ageing that adds a deep rich earthy whisky heat and a thick damp wood mushroom fug.
DORIS is heavy with vanilla ice cream that sticks to the roof of your mouth and just won’t go away, and at 10.5% it makes your eyes go wonky too.
DORIS can destroy me anytime.
