Left Hand Brewing Co. Stranger (5%)

StrangerStranger is a Pale Ale brewed with rye, and it’s lovely.
Pouring a golden straw colour, the aroma is honey and apricots in a wood shed.
The malting is gentle – in fact this whole beer is gentle – with a soft caramel wafer biscuit body, and the rye isn’t overpowering either, just sitting in the background and creating a subtle spiced earthiness.
The hopping is light and breezy with fresh mango, lemon rind and pear flesh leading you into a bitter sweet, crisp, clean finish.
Stranger is a beer you ought to get to know.
