Norfolk Square Brewery Crazy Horse IPA (8%)

Crazy HorseAnother beer in the Maverik range, Crazy Horse is a big bad American Double IPA.
It’s a bit feisty to pour, but worth the mess as the smell of jelly and fenceposts builds as the foam subsides.
The malting is enormous, endlessly sticky, mammoth toffee apples that glue themselves to the roof of your mouth as the hops sting and singe your synapses with masses of orange, satsuma, lime, mango and redwood resin.
All of this is warmed through by a deep alcohol heat that turns the finish form long and bitter to plump sweet and boozy.
Lovely stuff.
