Smuttynose Brewing Co. Rhye IPA (6.8%)

Rhye IPAPicture this.
Think of all the things that you love about American Craft brewing, all the things that have almost become clichés for the joys opening an American Craft beer.
Got it?
Well, they’re all in here in abundance.
A big peach and pine aroma wafts up from this rich orange beer, while the malting is a gloopy, chewy toffee on rye bread, big and round meaty, earthy, satisfying.
And all over this base the hops dance.
Sticky with redwood sap, sharp and stinging with lime zest and lemon pips, fizzy with sherbet and rich with orange marmalade.
Rhye IPA is absolutely tremendous.
Get it.
