Anchor Brewing Co. IPA (6.5%)

Anchor IPAMake a list in your head of all the thins you associate with a really good American IPA.
Got it?
OK, now stick all of that in a bottle and wrap it in a lovely Anchor Brewing label.
Right?
Anchor’s IPA has bags of sticky redwood resin, some vanilla, gooey toffee and crisp wafer biscuit, sharp herbal greenery and a load of lemon and grapefruit rind and zest.
Then there’s the rich fruity smell and the lovely copper colour that glows in your glass.
The finish is long and bitter and crackles with a warm spiciness.
This is a very good American IPA from a classic American brewery.
