BrewDog Pumpkin Head (5.1%)

Pumpkin HeadThere are a lot of things about BrewDog that I don’t like, but more often than not I like their beer.
And I like Pumpkin Head (though on the label they can’t decide whether or not it’s one word or two).
The aroma is mace and cinnamon, nutmeg and toffee, and the malting provides a big chewy body.
The added spices dance around all over the beer, but just as you think that’s all there is you get a big hoppy lemon rind and herbal undergrowth hit that sharpens everything, cleaning away the sticky spices ready for your next mouthful.
Pumpkin Head is very nice indeed.
