I could review this beer in a single sentence, and that sentence is,
“This beer is brilliant.”
But I feel that I ought to be saying more.
West Coast IPA pours a rich amber and smells of lightly spiced oranges and apples.
There’s a heap of marmalade in here, it’s all sticky and gooey and it’s tempered by sharp lemon zest and lime leaves.
Underneath this lovely hop assault there’s a really good gloopy toffee and buttery shortcake malt that makes for a big round body, and the finish is long and bitter and wonderful.
This beer is brilliant.
