Orbit Beers Neu Altbier (4.7%)

Neu AltbeerYet another new London based brewery with a decent beer to introduce itself to me, Neu Altbier pours a mahogany brown and smells of roast nuts and treacle.
The malting is rich and round and permeated with a light smokiness that wafts over the toffee and chestnuts, tamarind and salted honey, and the hops are leafy and pithy, all hedgerows and nettle tea.
And with its long crisp finish Neu Altbier is very nice indeed.
I look forward to finding out more about Orbit.
