Rule Of Thirds is an IPA made by combining the flagship beers from Siren, Magic Rock Brewing and Beavertown.
It’s rather good as it goes, though I’m not altogether sure that it’s either “entirely new” or “distinctively familiar”, it just tastes like a very very good IPA.
A big fruity jelly aroma and soft creamy caramel and wafer malts give way to a stingingly sharp hop attack that’s packed with lime zest and grapefruit pith, lemon jelly, pine resin and green herbal leaves.
And with it’s stupidly long dry finish, Rule Of Thirds is very good indeed, regardless of how it came to be.
Too many cooks don’t always spoil the broth.
