Celt Experience Brewery Dark-Age (4%)

Dark-AgeI’ve had this beer before, and what’s more I’m pretty sure I’ve reviewed it before.
But I can’t find the review anywhere, so I’ll have another go.
A Mild with what feels like a ton of American hops, Dark-Age is super.
There’s a soft chocolate caramel, cardboard and cake of a traditional Mild, but even before taking a mouthful you can tell there’s something else going on here as your nose is treated to a lovely passion flower bouquet.
Over the soft comforting Mild malts there’s a super sharp lime and satsuma zest, red wood resin and bramble pithy dryness that leads to a deliciously bitter finish.
We’ve worked our way through the Black IPA and now I think Celt may have stumbled on the India Mild.
I for one am very pleased that they have.
