Celt continue to impress with this, a sharp bitter fruit Saison.
Brewed with pomegranate, the aroma is fresh and zippy, all honey wrapped grapefruit segments and an almost gin-like dry clean sweetness.
There’s a good meaty yeast bubbling away around the caramel and French bread crusts of the malts, and a good brittle and crunchy hedgerow hopping.
And all over this goodness there’s a knife sharp, lip stingingly bitter fruitiness that ends, how the beer’s aroma begins, with a delicious gin dryness that’s clean and bitter with pomegranate.
Superb.
