I had high hope for this.
Maybe too high.
The aroma here is boozy petrol soaked peaches and the beer sits a deep amber in my glass.
But as I took a sip I found a big flabby buttery flavour that coated my tongue and overwhelmed anything else that might have been going on in there.
Old Grey’s Barley Wine is a one dimensional boozy hit that is so cloyingly sweet and harshly alcoholic that it quickly became undrinkable.
In fact, I poured it down the sink.
