Millionaire is Milk Stout brewed with chocolate and salted caramel and that is a good thing.
A very good thing indeed.
Pouring an inky black, the aroma is fruity, all prunes and leather belts.
Millionaire is a sweet beer, a beer that could get cloying if it weren’t for the sea salt that adds an earthy saltiness – Yeah, I know, no sh*t Sherlock, but you try and come up with a description of salt that isn’t “salty”.
The malting is rich sticky toffee (caramel?), digestive biscuits and runny honey, and there’s a very nice crunchy autumnal leaf litter hopping that gives you a good bitter bite.
The finish is sticky and round, all dark chocolate and treacle, but with a delightfully salty edge.
Lovely.
